OK, set the destination and then hit the auto pilot. Alternatively you can manually fly there by selecting the yellowed icon on the right hand overview display and then hitting the jump icon about (or hit D while left clicking on the gate in the list)
Flying manual is faster because in autopilot you warp to 15km from the gate and then fly 12.5km until you can jump through where as manually you jump right to the gate and pop through. I a frigate you save 30 seconds or so per jump. In larger ships, you can save several minutes. Plus manual flying is also safer.
